This Much I Know Is True: The Personal Cinema of Sage O'Tuama

For the latest installment of our longstanding Personal Cinema series, Millennium Film Workshop invites you to a one-night screening of Sage Ó Tuama’s experimental diary “This Much I Know is True” (2024, 45 Min).

The film revisits personal archives and remixes several shorter films Ó Tuama made between 2017 and 2024, positioning them in a cyclical framework around the idea of “circular bridge crossings towards eternal return.” Ó Tuama’s work combines miniDV, Super8 and iPhone diary footage with media sampling, live cam screen recordings, voice notes, still photography, audio field recordings, internet found footage, scanned drawings, and more. The film will be followed by a going away celebration for friends of Saint and Sage, who are leaving New York for the Winter.
