About the event
The Distance of Blue is an online exhibition pavilion curated by Ping Ho as part of The Wrong Biennale 7th Edition (Nov 1, 2025 – Mar 31, 2026), bringing together 50 works by 49 artists from around the world. Conceived as a digital exhibition space, explores the ocean as a metaphor for longing, displacement, perception, and the emotional geography of blue.
For this screening at Millennium Film Workshop, The Distance of Blue moves temporarily from the browser to the cinema. A selection of 36 video works from the pavilion will be presented in a shared physical space, inviting viewers to reconsider how distance shifts when the digital encounter becomes collective.
Drawing inspiration from Rebecca Solnit’s notion of The Blue of Distance, the exhibition reflects on blue not simply as color but as conditions: the visible and invisible, the near and far, the remembered and the imagined. Across video, sound, image, text,…
