About the event
Join us March 23rd at Millenium Film Workshop for the screening and exhibition of “Enact/In Act” including works by Azin Lim, Mi Pak, USol Kang, Heejo Kim, and Ru Kim. The act of disclosing queerness is both risky and empowering, allowing individuals to navigate societal and political acceptance. This exhibition provides a platform for queer Korean artists to confront norms and assert their identities in order to be recognized, seen, and discussed. Queer visibility challenges hegemony, offering vulnerability and empowerment. The works in “Enact/In Act” explore queerness through diverse methodologies including Hydrofeminism, representations of post-gender and post-racial identities, and reflections on queer life. Exhibition opens at 4pm and screening starts at 6pm. Entry is $15 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
