About the event
Join us as we celebrate the culmination of an endeavor by HEESU, a South Korean Electropop artist, singer-songwriter, and producer based in NYC. Discover the captivating world of "CHEONGSAN," a collaborative musical and visual project inspired by a traditional Korean poem about letting go, authored by Zen master Naong Hyegeun from the 13th-century Goryeo kingdom. Through this project, we pay tribute to the most cherished and beloved Korean art forms by presenting our eastern influences through a western lens in a well-blended visual culmination. Through this homage, we have created something that authentically reflects our own identities and sensibilities, while capturing the beauty we appreciate and are familiar with. Prepare to be amazed as we lift the veil on the behind-the-scenes work that brought the music and 3D animated music video of CHEONGSAN 청산 (Green Mountain) to life. Over the course of a year-long labor of love, our talented team of animators and creatives meticulously crafted each frame, immersing you in a world of stunning visual enchantment. The journey doesn't end there. We invite you to experience the magic firsthand as we exhibit eye catching visuals of the detailed and interactive behind-the-scenes process of creating the song & music video, and take you behind the creative curtain, offering profound insights into the project's significance and deeper meaning. The event will also include a Q&A session, and an introduction to underground Korean artists who blend traditional roots with modern sounds bridging the past and the future of Korean music.
