About the event
Celebrating Ken and Flo Jacobs
Presented by Millennium Film Workshop and the The Film-Makers’ Cooperative
Saturday, November 1
5:00 to 11:00 pm
Ken and Flo Jacobs, who died just months apart this year, were beloved and essential pioneers of New York’s avant-garde film world. Partners in art and life, they created an incomparable body of work, and were mentors, teachers, and inspirations for countless artists. Their legacy includes two film organizations that are still thriving. They were part of the group that launched The Film-Makers’ Cooperative in 1961, and in 1966, they co-founded the Millennium Film Workshop.
Millennium and the FMC will co-present an open-house celebration of Ken and Flo Jacobs, on Saturday, November 1, from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. The evening, with free admission to all, will include screenings and time for remembrances and remarks by attendees. All are invited to bring food and drink to share.
